Description
'Das Exerzier-Reglement für die Infanterie vom 29. Mai 1906' is a detailed military-historical commentary on the German infantry regulations of 1906. Freytag-Loringhoven explains the regulations in relation to the development of infantry tactics and illustrates them with examples drawn from earlier European wars, including the Franco-Prussian War and the Russo-Japanese War. The work discusses infantry formations, movement, attack, defence, fire, leadership and the practical problems of fighting on the modern battlefield. First published in Berlin by E. S. Mittler in 1907, this edition comprises 257 pages and includes a lithographed map and 50 tactical sketches. - German
