Description
'Tree Aloes of Africa' by Ernst van Jaarsveld and Eric Judd is a detailed illustrated study of Africa’s distinctive tree-forming aloes. Published by Penrock Publications in Cape Town in 2015, the 74-page book covers the tree aloes of Africa, including their history, classification, distribution, ecology and cultivation. Each species is treated with botanical information, distribution maps, colour photographs and illustrations by Eric Judd, making the book both a useful reference and an attractive introduction to these remarkable succulents. The book also discusses the reclassification of the tree aloes and the related 'Kumara plicatilis', formerly known as 'Aloe plicatilis'.
