Description
'Plants of the Baviaanskloof' by Douglas Euston-Brown and Magriet Kruger is the first comprehensive botanical guide dedicated to the flora of the Baviaanskloof, a biologically diverse region of the Eastern Cape. Compiled over more than two decades, it describes well over 1,000 plant species, with concise species accounts, full-colour photographs, family and genus descriptions, and information on the region’s geology, climate and vegetation types. The book also highlights the remarkable diversity of the area, where several ecosystems meet and many endemic species occur. Published by Struik Nature in 2023, it provides a detailed and accessible reference for botanists, hikers, gardeners and anyone interested in the plants of the Baviaanskloof.
