Description
‘Hugo Naudé’ by Adèle Naudé is an illustrated monograph on the life and work of South African artist Pieter Hugo Naudé (1869–1941), a pioneer of modern painting in South Africa. Published by C. Struik in 1974 as part of the South African Art Library series, the book features reproductions of his paintings and offers an introduction to his artistic career. Naudé is particularly associated with his landscapes and depictions of the Western Cape, including the scenery around Worcester and the surrounding countryside. This volume is a valuable addition for collectors of South African art and readers interested in the country’s artistic heritage.
