Description
Sandile Zulu by Colin Richards is an illustrated monograph on South African contemporary artist Sandile Zulu, published in 2005 as part of the TAXI Art Books series by David Krut Publishing. The book explores Zulu’s distinctive artistic practice, which combines the natural elements of fire, water, air and earth with organic materials and discarded industrial objects. Through an examination of his artworks and creative philosophy, Richards considers the relationships between nature, transformation, science and society that inform Zulu’s work. Featuring colour illustrations and critical commentary, this volume offers an insightful introduction to an important figure in contemporary South African art.
