Description
Arthur Miller’s *Death of a Salesman* follows Willy Loman, an ageing salesman struggling to reconcile his dreams of success with the realities of his life and family. As Willy reflects on the past and on his hopes for his sons, the boundaries between memory, imagination and the present begin to blur. The play explores ambition, identity, family expectations and the human cost of measuring success by wealth and social status. First performed in 1949, it became one of Miller’s most celebrated works and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama that same year.
