Description
This richly illustrated architectural study examines the contributions of Dutch-born architects to South Africa’s built environment between 1902 and 1961. It explores a wide range of building types, including religious buildings, community facilities, banks, industrial structures, civic infrastructure and housing, tracing the architectural and cultural exchanges between the Netherlands and South Africa. The book also considers this architectural heritage in the context of colonial history and the entrenchment of apartheid. A sequel to *Eclectic ZA Wilhelmiens*, it offers a detailed resource for readers interested in South African architecture, architectural history and built heritage.
